The Zimbabwe National Army is very well trained and is always ready for any type of situation. Its main purpose is to protect the country from invasion on land in order to have peace and security. It has about 33,000 members, with a mix of both men and women, and is divided into five brigades. Their current leader is Lieutenant General Philip Valerio Sibanda. The army's motto is, "Our swords are the shield of the nation."

Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ)
The Air Force of Zimbabwe is in charge of protecting the country also, but instead of protecting it on the ground, it protects it from the air. The Air Force has more than 5,000 members, and is also a mix of men and women. The Air Force has seven different departments; Operations, Training, Engineering, Administration, Regiment, Inspectorate, and Medical Services, which all contribute to the safety of the country.

The police force consists of about 21,800 officers. The headquarters is located in Harare, the capital of the country. The force consists of criminal investigation police, traffic police, support units, riot police, internal security, and canine units. All of these types of security help protect the cities and keep the people safe.
